Veurne and Ypres are both historic cities located in the Westhoek region of Belgium.

Veurne, with its picturesque market square and Gothic architecture, exudes a rustic charm.
The city has a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages and is home to notable landmarks such as the Belfry and the Saint Walburga Church.

Ypres, known for its impressive fortifications, has a tragic history from the First World War. The Menin Gate, an iconic memorial, honors the fallen soldiers. Ypres' Grand Place is surrounded by beautiful buildings and offers a lively atmosphere with cozy restaurants and shops.
Both cities are connected by their location in the Westhoek, a region characterized by rolling landscapes, picturesque villages, and a rich culinary tradition.
Both Veurne and Ypres attract visitors with their historical allure and the opportunity to uncover the traces of the past.

The indoor shots of the churches are each from a different church.
The first one is the Saint Gorges church founded in 1922 by the Angelsacian society for the English soldiers that stayed in Belgium after world war one. The Bugles that I put in the background there is the Last Post that they play every evening for more then ninety years at Menin Gate (except during world war two) to remember the fallen ones that gave their lives for us.
