Dear drone pilots,

As an aerial & drone stock agency we are happy to share with the drone community some useful market trends about what kind of footage should a pilot focus on if he wants to thrive in the stock footage business.

At least with us, at HOsiHO.com !

So, you are probably wondering which aerial images are the best sellers?

The answer is simple:
  • Videos of Cities and Villages
  • Videos related to the world's major confined cities
  • Videos of exceptional natural phenomena

Shoot first in urban areas, with preferably a strong center of interest (a city, a residential area, a business area, major traffic routes, famous monuments of the city, the port, the station, parks, the most frequented places, ...)

If you want to read more, please visit our blog and be sure to browse the special lightbox we set with the Q1-2021 best-selling drone videos!

All the best, and have a great day.

Feel free to tell us what is you best sellers too, we would love to hear about it!

That has been my experience also. Sometimes referred to as a "Town Reel". I have sold 4 different clips (or segments) similar to the attached video.

However, the contributor site may limit you to uploading clips shorter than 1 minute in length and cannot include cuts or transitions. No sound required also.

That being said, I have only 4 sales from over 100 videos that I have submitted to the various stock sites! Also, sold ONE photo and collected 10 cents?

Just a question. flying for money requires a 107 license correct, but photos we have taken from years ago as a recreational flyer we should have copy rights to and be able to sell correct??

I will say yes for the archives photos.

Hello,

Your sales are low probably because you contribute to the microstocks, don't you?
What about give a try to an agency like us, on the macrostock side?
Looking at your footage we will be happy to represent you.

Do you require a copy of 107 license?

We don't require it but we want to make sure signed pilots are flying legally in their countries, so it is better to have it.
