Which app to update firmware for MA2

My MA2 arrives this week. I want to be prepared. I’ve tried to find which assistant app to put on my pc in case I need to update firmware. Could someone please enlighten this newbie? Thanks

I downloaded Assistant 2 to my PC but my USB connection would not open the software, so I used my iphone 11 Pro when connected with DJI Fly on the controller. Updates came in fine, for both controller and drone.

You can just do firmware updates with the DJI Fly app, the same app you need to actually operate the drone. (also make sure you start the drone up with each battery you receive and check the start screen in DJI Fly, because the battery firmware needs to be updated as well)

Thanks, mate. I was finding every drone listed except MA2.

Normally, I use Assistant 2. Besides updating controller and drone, while you are in the software, you can download the flight data and it also provides other necessary functions as well.

So assistant 2 is used with Mavic Air 2?

You can, but I'd recommend using your PC for the FW updates for your MA2 & RC - history shows this is a more stable way of doing this for most DJI drones.
