What are you trying to check? The signal strength? Congestion with other devices?

Is this for Android or iOS? And are you checking the WiFi for a drone or for a home/work?

Probably so he can check for band congestion.

The only thing though is WiFi analyzers will only show signals from devices using standard WiFi protocol. It won't show other types of signals in the same bands that can also interfere.

es of signals in the same bands that can also interfere.
In that case, it's an exercise of limited value. The firmware that controls the WiFi is going to select the channel with the least congestion. Since most of us fly outside, you would have to check for interference along the flight path.

Like microwave ovens, older cordless phones, baby monitors.

Drones using Enhanced WiFi, Occusync, Lightbridge.
Light Bridge.

Yes, FC/RC does look for a clean channel, but when your range seems low, can't hurt to see how noisy the environment is.
And AC is communicating with the RC, so checking for noise in the RC vicinity isn't futile. If it's there, it likely will affect the entire flight.
But indeed, it can't verify the AC won't fly into interference.
