Litchi, the quad will finish its mission at the last waypoint unless return to home is selected as the finishing action, in which case it returns to the home point.
There are other options such as reverse where the quad will fly the mission again once finished but in reverse.

A connection to a cell tower is not needed.

I always set my homepoint as the last waypoint on a Litchi mission so it will (should) return if communication is lost (Litchi continues the mission if disconnected from the RC).

You never need to have a cell phone connection to fly.
