x2 zoom in normal mode

It seems the new x2 zoom capability in normal mode is purely optical with no digital degradation. Has anyone seen or read anything from DJI to confirm this? My tests show it's a good, clean image and it's very useable. In the explore mode it's not until after x7 zoom that it gets into the digital processing, correct?

There is no optical zoom on the Mavic 3 so it has to be a combination of software and digital crop that is creating the effect.

What's also new is you can do a 2x Zoom during Active Track. Have not tried POI, but Spotlight obviously can use it. Nice!
