Don't need a case as both the iPad and Mavmount, along with all my other stuff fits nicely in my messenger sling bag. The reason I switched to the Mavic from the P3P was tired of lugging the dang suitcase around.
If you go to the US National Parks website you will find that drones are not allowed to be launched or landed within the park boundaries. I wanted to fly in Kings canyon NP and was told by a Ranger an emphatic 'NO' This does not mean you can't launch from outside and fly over the park and return...
I fly in the sun a lot, not today as its now 108º and I would have a stroke. But on normal days I have never had my iPhone shut down while flying. I have had it overheat and shutdown out on the boat or if I left it out in the sun. Do Android phones have this safety feature?
Is that tested? or the spec's on the charger? As a good car battery has a restring voltage of 12.6 (once the surface charge has bled off) it doesn't take much to pull it down to 12.4 or 5 while under a load. There are a lot of variables so mileage may vary. I just carry 5 charged batteries now...
When you insert a battery always give it a little upward tug to make sure it is locked, I have always done this as I had the same issue with the P3. DJI should not have to make the pins shorter, more surface contact is better, remember the amount of current the pins have to carry with WOT. This...
A resting battery (engine off) once the surface charge has dropped will normally be at 12.6-12.8 VDC, with the engine on the voltage will be from 13.8-14.2, unfortunately the older DJI charger had a low voltage cutoff of 12.8, which would only allow it to work for a short time after the engine...
Thanks, but this is the reason I switched from the 'other' filters as they had to be installed after the gimbal initialized. Seems that Polarpro's guarantee that their filters would not cause a overload was a bit premature, that or DJI changer the load parameters on the gimbal with a later...
Too small for a radar return. Although the DEW system touts a "No Sparrow Shall Fall" tag line I doubt its truth, and besides, the radar on a plane just doesn't have the dwell to get a return form something so small.
I am thinking not too many out there would expect a audio or visual response from a crashed phone or app. Most on here are old enough that you don't need to explain the obvious to them. And I retired from the force years ago :)
