FRUSTRATED! S7 Edge - Too much wasted time.

I feel your pain! There are no cheap Android options available in Australia to use as a dedicated screen and the GO-4 app is not able to run bug free on a device that has any other apps on it. I'm runing 4.1.15 on my Sony Experia with some glitches . If I upgrade beyond that, I'm unable to fly...

Just a comment... bought the low noise props for my Mavic Pro

No appreciable difference to my ears when I fitted them to my drone, but they do chip easier when clipping tree leaves etc

Has anyone heard of a Mavic damaging property? (USA)

Late to the party comment here, but there was a dash cam video of a drone bouncing off a car's windscreen on the Sydney Harbor bridge a while ago. Apparent the drone hit the bridge and fell into the car. An illegal flight so highly unlikely to have had insurance.

You can now fly your DJI drone using the Google airmaps app

Dizzy, What do you think of the app? I haven't watched the YouTube yet, but I'd love an app that works well with Android so I don't have to use the buggy DJI GO-4 app.

What tablet or phone do you use for your Mavic Pro

Gotta love DJI Even their own screen doesn't work with their AndrAnd app..... Thats brilliant.

DJI Mavic Spiraled out of Control , crashed and destroyed

Sorry to hear of your accident, but welcome to the club This is the exact this is the same thing that happened to my MP over a dam, I never saw it again. Full battery (locked in and checked) Controller at around 75% All props in good condition and locked in place Calm weather No overhead wires...

mavic signing off: 64 hours, 1507km, 277 flights

Sorry to hear about the loss. Your story is similar to mine, lost over water after a mid air failure. Send in your logs to DJI, and start a case with them. They came back to me that they couldn't fault the piloting or the craft and offered a 30% discount. I replied that i would accept 50:50 to...

***** you DJI - your QA is subpar and customer service is a joke

If the app and drone work reliably on Android without a requirement for a dedicated screen, I'm all ears!!

    Latest Firmware 1.04.0200

Wow! New start up music.... And support for DJI goggles! Whee (sarcasm) Then forces you to the latest un-usable 4.1.22 version of the GO-4 app!! That would be a no from me.

DJI GO 4 4.1.22 is available on Google Plsy

4.1.18 is a POS. I was unable to fly using my screen on this version as it just screen locked and pixelated. Reverted to 4.1.15, all sweet. Not planning on any new updates!!

    GO-4 4.1.18 on Android again - options

UPDATE - I have made a discovery today relating to the screen lag and freezing issues. I noticed that even though I have 'Cache to Device' set to OFF, the 4.1.18 version app has still stored a photo tile of the videos on the device. This is why the screen locks up. It has always been an issue...

    GO-4 4.1.18 on Android again - options

Thanks for the suggestions to get back in the air, appreciate it. Looks as though the 4.1.15 version is stable enough to use, so far no screen lags and full functions are going well. Only two short flights.

    GO-4 4.1.18 on Android again - options

You mean the Samsung Tab A? I haven't used it yet as it actually belongs to my son, but if I can't run on my Sony Experia XZ phone, then I'll go to the tablet.

    GO-4 4.1.18 on Android again - options

It's a forum.... It's just how it is, always someone. Me, I'd rather be outside away from my keyboard and flying my drone and using the app..... If DJI & their team of monkeys were capable of making it work, then that's where I'd be and wouldn't have been on here. Fingers crossed the...

    GO-4 4.1.18 on Android again - options

Got it loaded as above. Testing the drone today and see if it's flyable. Fingers crossed.....
