This is all about public perception. We all know that those who want to fly irresponsibly will continue to do so regardless of guidelines, regulations or geo fencing.
If a member of the public sees a casual flyer who has taken the trouble to register, take a test and display these details on...
Yes, I agree. I'll be sticking with my Hero7Black for now which I'm finding I'm using more than my osmo pocket.
One feature of the Osmo Action that nobody has mentioned is that you can use a standard USB-C cable to 3.5mm microphone jack . You don't have to pay £50 for a bulky plastic box that...
I think DJI get it right with the permanent NFZ. When you take of, if you are near a NFZ it warms you that you are near a zone. You can still fly but you now know that you can't fly in some directions.
With the TNFZ - the system could easily warm the operator before takeoff "Temp NFZ nearby...
The DJI forced autoland on suddenly finding the AC in a NFZ should be a failsafe feature.
Yes, the situation of being in NFZ *should* never happen in and ideal world. BUT in the real world mistakes do happen and these features should help the situation in the safest way reasonable.
In the...
The golden hour is wonderful for lighting and as it gets darker the contrast between the natural and the artificial light
I always find attractive.
The M2P is surprisingly good in low light and can produce some stunning photos. This is St Ives in Cornwall. I was actually 2 miles away taking...
I believe their (Litchi) claim as waypoints 2.0 has the same issue.
I set up 2 identical simple missions, one with DJI Waypoints and one with Litchi and the jerkiness while trying to keep focus on the POI was equally as bad on both.
My MPP was silky smooth by comparison.
Yes I agree - great to have pro mode and it looks like they've had a go at fixing some of the focus hunting problems too - which was my major gripe with the device.
Update went OK after a reset (got stuck on 98%) and hope to give it a good test over the weekend.
No, in this case the object was initially static. When I selected the car as the subject to follow it focuses for a split second then moves out of focus and holds that out of focus position.
I couldn't use AFS as I intended the subject to move relative to the camera and wanted it to follow...
Yes you can do that but then the height of all waypoints are restricted to 65 feet. No idea why. When you first add a new point it assumes 165ft but as soon as you select it it drops to 65 and cannot be made any higher (can go lower). As 65ft is often below the tree line it's not much use.
I'm...
There are other threads here about Waypoint 2.0 - but here is my summary from flying today.
Waypoints, Litchi and Jerky Footage
First of all, credit to DJI for adding back waypoints and improving on the original feature set with the MP1 The interface itself is easy to understand and use but...
Yes...but... unless the aircraft is on and running - any waypoint you touch will be limited to 65 feet. That is to say a new Waypoint has a height of 165ft but if you select it to move or change height you are then limited back to 65ft
No idea of the logic behind this - looks more like a bug.
Not a patch on Litchi - and the firmware hasn't improved the jerky panning motion :-(
As posted in another thread on this subject:
Waypoints, Litchi and Jerky Footage
I upgraded, aircraft, remote a 5 batteries without issue and had no flight problems with the new firmware. I flew a couple of...
As it stands, Litchi has several advantages:
1) DJI Waypoints 2 requires the drone to be connected and powered on in order to plan a flight. A Litchi mission on the other hand can be setup even when not connected to the controller or aircraft. In Fact you can plan a Litchi flight on your home...
