Flew with my X yesterday and I had no problems. Honestly if it wasn’t full screen, it didn’t bother me because I didn’t notice.
Reviewing video, it’s full screen in app editor.
I was in I was in Italy at the end of June. Traveled Air Ligeus via Dublin to Milan on the way out and British Air through London on the way home. Carried my Mavic and three total batteries in my backpack in a small case I have that holds everything. Had no problems going through security at...
I figure I'll leave this here as an FYI. Yesterday I had a question about LiPo batteries. Today I wake up with an email from AMA with an informative guide.
LiPo Battery Basics | Model Aviation
EDIT: looks like a 2015 article but still good info.
Taking a trip with my MP tomorrow and need to discharge batteries. Flew two down yesterday. With errands that need to be taken care of today, I'm afraid I might not get any flying time. Any problem just leaving Mavic on all day to discharge the remaining batteries?
Worst case, I suppose I...
I would check the sectional charts for the area. i have a few hospital heliports around me. They are all class E airspace with a floor of 700' AGL. Everything from the surface to 700 is actually unrestricted class G, fine for flying. No authorization needed. However, DJI tells me I'm in class D...
Just curious how you are using your Mini with your Mavic. And if you are using a mount, anyone think the one they are using is great enough to recommend? Any to be avoided?
EDIT: One more question. If I tether a Mini to my phone, am I correct in assuming the Go App will will be able to load...
Looking at DJI's Geo System map, they did just use a gigantic NFZ circle that encompasses all of Columbus.
DJI - The World Leader in Camera Drones/Quadcopters for Aerial Photography
The problem is that DJI's NFZs don't actually follow the actual NFZ boundaries. They are just big circles that encompass the entire NFZ.
But looking at DJI's own Geo System NFZ, the area you want to fly doesn't appear to a DJI NFZ. SO you're probably good to go. DJI - The World Leader in...
Actually, looking at a sectional chart, all of Columbus is under class E with a floor of 700 AGL. Which shouldn't be a problem. The problem is that most of Columbus is class D airspace due to the Columbus Airport. You should be able to fly with warnings and you should be asking for approval...
I'm sure DJI just does this out of sheer programming convenience. It's far easier to make a circular NFZ that encompasses the entire actual NFZ thus covering a lot of area that is not NFZ, than it is to map out the actual NFZ.
My whole city is under class E airspace with a floor of 700' AGL...
I realize that unfolded or mostly unfolded props align correctly as they spin up. And I'm definitely no physics expert, far from it, but I don't know if a fully folded prop is able to unfold on spin up as each blade needs to unfold in a separate directions. It seems like the spin could unfold...
