Find a friend with another Mavic and some sense of adventure. Rig a long hook to that Mavic and get it out of the tree without having both Mavics join each other. ...and no it's not a joke, others have actually done that successfully.

Sure, it doesn't matter if you add an amplifier directly or somehow (and as you say totally unverified) increase the power output of the MP which is highly concerning because of heat issues in the drone and burning out the MP drone internal amplifier.
