40w usb c charger

Would a 40w usb c power brick be ok to use to charge mini 3 battery? or just stick with a 30w one

No problem, you could use a 100W brick if you wanted, but it wouldn't charge any faster. Reason is that the wattage rating of a charger simply tells you the maximum available power of that charger. The device being charged will still only use whatever it has been designed for, and these small batteries can't take that much power.

On the other hand, if you use a power brick with a maximum rating that is less than what the device can take, it will charge slower than it could have if the brick supplied enough power.
