I have a dedicated s7 edge that I use so I can preserve the battery on my iPhone. Works great, I notice the HD symbol always flashes, but I haven't had any dropouts or anything like that.

Sony z5 looks great can use the buttons on the phone easily, I keep disconnecting tho so will run some tests next week in different areas...

Galaxy S5 and Nexus 7 work fine here, not one crash on either.
The S5 has loads of apps on it, Nexus only Go4 and an older DJI Go for phantom 3.
The S5 doesn't like to have more than one DJI app so Go4 only.
Nexus is a tight fit in controller arms but does just go in.
I mostly use the S5 phone,
