"The aircraft operates by using a line-of-sight radio communication link with a ground control station"

"The 77-mile range is the limit of the ground control station’s link with the aircraft."

Where is that link to the hi-gain antenna mod ? Someone needs to send it to them .

This is not an isolated incident. I think some would be amazed at how many military drones have disappeared or crashed

Oh Yeah !!!
They have a show on Netflix that talks about the horrendous amount of drones that have crashed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Pilots say that unlike normal aircraft they cannot feel when a vibration or small problem is starting to happen, so they keep on flying and then something just snaps and the drone is spiraling downward. Another civilian guy said if the public had any idea of the loss ratios that they would be in real problems with funding.
