I'm based in the US, but will be traveling to the EU (Italy) next month. I'm thinking of taking my 1st-generation Mini along, but as it is the US version, it does not have the CE mark required for pretty much all products in the EU.
I know that the Mini in general qualifies in the Open category, but my question is whether or not my drone would be allowed into the EU without the CE marking. It would really be a drag to take it all the way to Europe, only to have it confiscated by Customs because it doesn't have the proper certifications. Any US pilots have any experience with this?
