somehow the new update keeps crashing the app when i open it or when i use the auto-edit.

That's news to me. Mine still shows 4.0.3 as latest version... but if it isn't broke...

No problems here, fly's fine.

Did 2 batteries with it just now.

Only difference I could tell was when I started motors I got lots of extra beeping from controller and vibration. I think it was trying to warn me about class D airspace (even though I was not but DJI thinks I was).

Great fun.

I do the update on my iPhone then fly a half dozen times then if ok I update my iPad so I have a means to compare

So glad they've fixed the erroneous "Growth of Value" display. I've been sweating bullets over that. (Well, I might have if I understood what is was for.)

I finally found some explanations with Google but I don't get it. What's Lv 26 or whatever mean?
