Driftwood beach at Jekyll Island

Went there last weekend, Airport Manager at the regional airport was super cool, called 2 hours before and he asked me where I planned to fly, as soon as I told him driftwood beach he said no problems stay under 400ft and try not to go into Saint Simons Sound.

All in all a great day, the beach is super nice, day was overcast but it didn't rain, all in all, can't complain

Just make sure to call the regional airport as the beach is within the 5 mile radius. Shouldn't be an issue as the beach is parallel to the runway on the other side of the island and not within the approach line.

I vacation here every year, it's my favorite island by far i'll have to take my drone next time! Seems like a great way to explore parts that are harder to walk to
