Hi all,

The Mavic Pro is my first DJI drone so I'm quite new to all of this. It's been pretty great so far.

So here is my problem: camera is out of focus on FlyLitchi waypoint missions.

I have been flying some FlyLitchi waypoint missions. The first few missions were great, image quality was really good. Only issue: some prop glare in the video. So it was working fine originally.

I tried to fly some flights with the bubble removed this morning to try to see if that would eliminate the prop glare. Instead, I've gotten some blurring on all missions after. Not sure how to get it back to the original video quality without blur. I've tried with nearby POIs and far POIs, all still out of focus.

Any assistance appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks, will give that a try. Seems simple enough.

All my other flights including take off were pretty much complete auto, without me tapping to focus.

Hi CarloM,

Hope not to be a wise***, but did you read te full manual?
And flying with the clear dome on is not good for the airflow to the fan behind the gimbal.

Have fun and fly safe,

Yes I've read the manual. Have you? Doesn't really mention much about camera focus.

https://www.dji.com/mobile/mavic/info

You mean this?

"Focus/Metering Button
/ : Tap to switch between focus and metering mode. Tap to select object for focusing or metering. "

The only mention of focus, and not exactly the most descriptive.

FlyLitchi help doesn't mention anything about camera focus.

All my previous missions were fine, I assumed the camera was autofocus. But I will try tapping the center to focus next mission.

Thanks for the tip on the bubble though. The manual says remove the gimbal clamp, again nothing mentioned in the manual about the bubble.

DJI Mavic Pro VS Phantom 4 Pro: Which Drone Is Better?

"The last thing you should know about the Mavic’s camera is that it doesn’t have a fixed focus like the Phantom 4. This means you need to tap what part of the image you want to be in focus while in the DJI Go App. Having a fixed focus is good and bad. It’s good because you can focus on closer subjects and the background will look slightly more out of focus like a DSLR. It can also make the subject that you’re filming appear sharper. The only bad part is, you have to remember to do it, or your images will come out blurry."
