Friendly jamming: another Mavic user

Yesterday member Frits and I went to a nearby park along the St-Laurent river to fly a bit and hopefully grab some good video.

At 1 km away the video signal was severely degraded. We were standing about 5 m apart. At one point Frits came over close to me, control in hand, and I completely lost signal while only 600m away. Antennas were optimally aligned wrt the drone.

The manual states a maximum of three users together - that seems very optimistic.

We've flown 2 Mavics and a P4P without issues. But yes they do say "in the same area" i.e. you may need 5-10m between the pilots. Also depends on local RF environment of course, 3 is assuming the whole spectrum is clean enough for them to use, if they have to avoid some busy spectrum area there might not be enough room for 3 anymore.

The frequencies are to close. The manual is probably about right but again subjective. These aren't meant for close flight regardless to one another. General area should be fine.
