Probably should have researched before the purchase, but I didn't realize that the 1080p higher framerates were garbage (for FPV only or some such nonsense). I shot 1080p96 yesterday, was baffled by the terrible quality, searched google, and then found out that 60+fps at 1080p are useless for actual footage.

Is 1080p48 ok? What about the higher frame rates in 720p?

Nothing above 30 in 1080 seems that good. Haven't messed with 720 yet.

My friend I use 1080 @ 30fps - seems to be the sweet spot - works great

What's the sweet spot for 4K?
I don't use 4K too much processing etc for me - 4K has 24/25/30 fps so shouldn't be too much trouble to shoot all 3 frame rates & see what they look like......................Great icon by the way .....Cheers!

From what I've read and experienced 2.7K at 30fps is the sweet spot. Panning in 4K gets blurry for me. Could be that my MBP can't handle it but it does well with 2.7K at 30fps.

I know all resolutions are good up to 30fps (and 2.7k30 seems to be the sweet spot), but do any higher frame rates work at any resolution? I will check after work, but was just wondering if anyone already knew this answer.

Would that I could. C'mon FedEx.

Welp, I just tested 720p at 60 and 120fps and 1080p48 and they all look bad (the watercolor-esque compression that has been discussed). So I guess we are left to record at 30fps and below. Pretty disappointing if you ask me.
