While capturing scenic images (aerial and ground) for a commercial client this week, I took the opportunity to capture a few images of the historic WSM a.m. radio tower. WSM is one of America's oldest clear channel radio stations, and it is the long time home of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville (Music City), TN. The tower was build in 1932, and it tops out at 808 feet AGL. I had to back up quite a ways with my Air 3 to get the entire tower in view against a crystal blue sky and stay under my 400 feet AGL legal limit. The small building in front of the tower is the transmitter building. It is quite a sight to see with its mirror image tower design.
