Longer continuous videos.

I tried taking a longer continuous video today. I have a 64 GB U3 card. Upon playback, the video showed up as 2 separate files. When playing it on the TV, the second file started upon the end of the first, however it was not seamless. Is there a setting that allows longer segments to be recorded with transitioning onto another file?

The video files will always be split at 4GB. There is no way to prevent that from happening.

It is a limitation of the file system (FAT32) used to format the SD card. Almost all cameras using SD cards have that limitation which consist in creating files up to a size of 4gb. So the short answer to the question "Is there a setting that allows longer segments" is NO.

Stitch them together with a video editing program for longer seemless playing. You'll have to downsize it if you want to store it on an SD card though.
