MIUI 8 and DJI GO4

Looking to upgrade phone to a bigger screen on the cheap. See that new Xiaomi phones have MIUI 8 for their OS which is supposedly Android 7 compatible.
I have no experience using MIUI. Can anyone else comment that the app runs fine to use with the Mavic Pro? Any drawback?

MIUI and others (Oxygen OS, Color OS, etc) are basically user interface skins that run on top of Google's Android. As long as the phone can get its apps from the Play store DJI GO et al. should run fine.

I've been using a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 4GB RAM model and it's been hit and miss. App crashed a couple of times and have had no crashes on some flights. Still testing it though. Bought Litchi for it but yet to try.

The remote charging the phone issue is bugging me though.

Thanks guys. I'm looking at the Xiami Mi Max2 with the 6.44" screen which seems reasonably priced compared to other options. The Samsung S9+ would be ideal but until it comes out, will have to see what kind of pricing my carrier offers on the upgrade.
