Not sure how an AW&ST article posted yesterday could have been posted that many times ... I know you mean the notion of it, but news is news. The comments section of that article is quite interesting too. Biggest dread is "agricultural" payloads on pre-programmed paths... (not jammable).
 
I just saw that above on my news feed this morning and correct me if I am wrong but the looks like the remains of a phantom. That is how we get more restrictions here.

Watched the movie Snowden last night. (Well worth it).

He's at a party in Hawaii and someone is flying a Phantom above the small crowd. Not sure such existed at the time that he was in Hawaii, but I digress.

In the film, the Phantom crashes quite suddenly. Such adds to the misconceptions about drones generally and how they (should) are operated as well.
