removing lens filter

I was lucky.. I managed to loosen and remove my M2 Zoom filter with my bare fingers...

I also have a Phantom 4. It's filter was quite a bit tighter. I couldn't get it to budge. What I did was use a hair dryer to warm the ring slightly (warm to the touch). The metal ring expanded from the heat more than the plastic it was screwed on to and it came off pretty easily.

I had a hard time turning it but latex gloves with three fingers and very little squeezing ultimately worked. I was sure mine was glued on or fused but it ultimately worked.

Once you remove the original filter, it becomes easy to remove as it is really overkill to over tighten it. Just turn it past the initial resistance about 1/8 turn. I'm sure it wont fall off.
