Has anyone every flown the Mavic while in South Beach Miami ? If so, what are the drone flying laws there ?

Same laws as everywhere else, beware controlled airspace.

A special concern about beach flying, especially in S Florida, is low flying aircraft including helicopters, Cessnas, and banner pullers. They can fly pretty low and very near to the shore, so keep your eyes and ears open. Another concern is the prevailing wind, I usually take off into the wind and return downwind.

Yea, I see what you're saying! I did see a lot of helicopters and planes at the time I was there. Airport is at least 7 miles outside that 5 mile radius. I'll figure it out !! "Thanks"
