Anyone have any experience flying through the UAE airports with a mavic in their carry on? Best way to go about it? Got a 9 hour layover won't be leaving the airport just gunna be in a hotel inside the airport.

I guess it shouldn't be a problem, as you'll be in transit. But Mavic in the carry-on will be a big NO. You will have to put it in the checked in luggage and carry any spare batteries (if you have) along with you as carry-on.

Okay that's what I was thinking, so I'll just pack the Mavic in my suitcase and bring the 2 extra batteries with me in my back pack.
Tried to get some info from the airport on it but never heard back so thanks for the help.
