Video: Potential Danger with Hand Catching Mavic

I predict too many inexperienced people will try this...resulting in lacerations to fingers and faces, or worse.

Unfortunately that is true and many people believe that the end result will just be one cut finger or hand. They have no idea that it will slice and dice them multiple times if something goes wrong. I have no problem with Hand catching if it is totally necessary, but this guy had plenty of area to land on.

I launch and take off from my hand all the time and don’t disable any sensors. Just hold your hand flat and land on it. You barely need to “grab” the Mavic at all...just let it land in the palm of your hand.

I just switch it to sport mode and that disables bottom sensors. It's quick and easy to catch that way.
