Hi all

I just downloaded drone buddy. The flight restriction map in this app is very different from the DJI fly safe database. Any thoughts on this ?

What about internationally ? I am in Singapore right now and there is a stark difference between no fly zones in the dji app vs drone buddy see attached pics

Regardless of the differences in apps, your actual physical ability to fly is governed by DJI, so you'll always have to check their map first. Ultimately you should be looking at VFR sectional charts, or their foreign equivalent, to determine the airspace in which you are flying, or plan to fly in.

I use airmap, & b4ufly

I use a combination of apps. I mainly use FAA’s B4UFLY. I also use AirMap in addition to DJI’s Go4 app. You’ll certainly get different results at times. Some will tell you it’s okay to fly when it’s not.

I agree. sometimes you have to use a little common sense, check your surroundings, make sure it is safe before you fly.

DJI and the sectionals.

Has anyone ever had to defend their flying based on one of these maps? As someone already posted, they can/are very different.
