WSJ drone article

Fine as long as the drone meets some "terrorist" requirements in order to take action. Otherwise it just sounds like an excuse for cops to have some more power tripping and target practice.

The NYPD should not be given this power. They already falsely claim drones are illegal in NYC despite no specific legislation banning them. (that's why they've used vague laws like "reckless endangerment" against drone operators in the past) They should coordinate with the FAA if they have concerns with drones.

Maybe they just want to take it down to check for externally visible registration. Apparently, parking tickets aren't the ya ya they once were.
