Coldpack strapped to smartphone stops overheating (which causes video corruption) with the Mavic Pro after recent upgrades. Not really a practical solution but works very well;.
I was trying to attach this photo to my comments from a few minutes ago but they seem to have vanished completely. Strapping a "cold pack" to the underside of the smartphone cured the overheating problem and let me run down a full battery without any video corruption. It was a 37C day and the phone would almost immediately rise above its rated 45C limit, causing severe video corruption. I am not sure how much more number crunching the DJI people have added to the Mavic Pro software but I never had over heating issues before the most recent upgrades and updates. In countries cooler than Australia in summer time the cold pack should not be necessary. (Maybe DJI can offer these as accessories in countries where the temperature rises above 30 degrees C.)
