Mavic Air 2 - three months ago, I updated my drone to the latest firmware update and lost the Zoom Function since then. I called DJI Support, and we did all sorts of actions, including using DJI Assistant 2 to update the drone and RC controller, to the latest firmware but to no avail. Eventually, the online support tech asked me to send the RC controller and drone to DJI Repair Centre.
Upon examination of the drone and RC controller, DJI found that the camera had malfunctioned and could not save updates. Luckily I took out DJI Refresh Care, which saved me $209 for the camera replacement and repair service.
There was no indication of something wrong with the camera except for losing the Zoom Function, as shown in the following video clip.
Air 2 - I recorded this last video clip before sending the drone and the RC controller to DJI to investigate why it lost the Zoom Function. DJI found the camera could not save the firmware update(s) and had to replace it free of charge because the DJI Refresh plus covers it.
