On another slight side step of this thread. Does anyone have any knowledge of the latest drone technology available in Shenzhen that is alternative to DJI? Something less expensive, but of similar quality?

Again thank you so much for the reply and the guidance. I ran the update this morning and enjoyed my first successful flight. Kinda scary - I don't have any sense of awareness of the drone position in the air yet. It all feels very alien!! Looking forward to a weekends flying :) Thanks again.

Ok, so I took the drone out this evening to set it up again. Went through the compass calibration, IMU and gimbal. Adjusted my parameters for height and distance. However one thing that concerned me was a message stating "inconsistent firmware found". As stated, I am using an old DJI Go app...

Many thanks - I have managed to get the tablet and the controller powered on and communicating with the drone. No take off yet, I am still determining what the correct settings should be and ensuring I understand how to fly this thing before I put it in the air!!!

Perfect! I downloaded DJI Go v4.1.15 and it installed and runs. The main test of course will be getting this into the controller and connected to the drone later. Crossing fingers!
