    Air Range Issue

The bottom line is if you are in a dense WiFi area = signal breakups. I was pretty bummed when I saw how far I could fly in urban areas coming from a Mavic Pro, but then you shouldn't really be flying in urban areas anyway! I went out 'to the sticks' - and Wow! What a difference. The FCC 'hack'...

    Mavic Air Remote

Put the Mavic into FCC mode. It definitely improves the range

    Compass Calibration indoors?

All went well. Didn't get a calibration message in the end. Perfect flight. Opti mode worked a charm

    Compass Calibration indoors?

Hi All. I have owned several DJI drones over the last few years (FlameWheel (remember them?!), P4, Mavic Pro) so I am no noob..... However.... I just bought a Mavic Air, which is a great bit of kit - but it does seem a lot more finnicky on the old compass calibrations. If I want to fly indoors...

    Platinum props on Mavic Pro?

Never had any motor overheating issues with the low noise props. Not seen any extra vibration either. I'm currently running the low noise props, and I see no reason to go back (until they need replacing, and then I'll use my massive pile of old versions!)

MP Video wee bit Wobbley/Double Vision-HELP PLEASE!!

Could also be if you have the camera settings on Auto, that the shutter speed may be too high for the fps you're recording at - that will cause really jittery video. Rule of thumb is to have the shutter speed roughly x2 the fps - which obviously you can't control if set to auto

New app don't support the radar function

If you tap the upper right corner of the map window, it will change to a 'radar' - This will show you which way the craft is pointing in relation to the direction you are facing. It's very useful if you are in a position whereby your Mavic is too far away / small in the sky to see which way it's...

New app don't support the radar function

Ah!.... I understand you now. I thought you meant the radar that shows you how the craft is oriented in relation to the controller. You mean the proximity sensor 'curved bars' that are overlaid over the video feed, that change colour as you get closer / further away from objects. Are you certain...

    Loosing control

As Cyberpower has said.... If you try and fly your Mavic at night, the light levels are too low for the VPS sensors to operate correctly - so the Mavic will disable them. This will result in the craft moving around a bit during hover, as it's only relying on GPS to position itself. It's amazing...

New app don't support the radar function

It's there.... tap the top right corner of the little map window in the bottom left. The map window then turns into the radar.

    Lots of Mavic's being sold

It's probably down to the fact that people didn't fully realise the restrictions on where you can and can't fly when purchasing. I have been into drones for quite some years now, and I have seen many, many people drop out of the hobby once they realise that they just can't fly anywhere they...

    iOS 10.3.3 - "CPU overload"

Alan - what was the ambient temp where you were flying out of interest? I've never seen this message on my iPad mini 4 (yet...)
