You should be sure that you will actually use 4K. If you are intending on using the shots on any social media or email, you won't use 4K. I can't answer your question directly because i leave my settings alone and get terrific shots.
nope, there's no glass in the lens ring. It's not a cover, it's a ring to protect threads used when you install a filter. Many people use a filter as a lens protector. Not a bad idea.
His first comment should have been "I manually SET the home point". The second comment is warning you to not be lazy and use RTH button except for a last resort. I always fly my drone back and land it. Pushing the RTH button takes away the fun of flying. :)
Are you plugging the mini tablet into the controller? Have you tried a different cable between the mini and the controller? The factory apple charge cable is the best one to use. Avoid using the side port on the controller. Use the USB port on the bottom of the controller.
I do all my updates thru DJI Go4. When you launch the app it checks for firmware updates. Before I go flying, I always boot everything up at home while I have wifi. Simple.
