    DJI announcement on May 15

LOL true! But then I guess that seeing the bigger picture never gets old or is a bad thing right? ??

LOL thanks ? I'll kindly reply with a slogan crafted especially for you. "See the bigger picture" ?

    DJI announcement on May 15

It wasn't DJI who killed the Karma. It wasn't the Mavic. Basically GoPro released a flawed, faulty, unreliable, unusable, DANGEROUS drone to start with. And that's it. They had to call it back and end it right then and there. Path to greatness? It was a massive **** up from start to end. Period...

LOL same here, they've been getting mine since the FC40. And it only got better ?

    DJI announcement on May 15

So basically the Karma was a huge flop because DJI beat it to the market with a rushed (allegedly) Karma rip-off and some shady commercial practises. And not because the Karma sucked and was plagued with REAL, serious flaws and failures that totally killed expectations and never delivered on its...

    Every Dolly Zoom is different...

I think there´s a difference in the background compression by moving backwards/zooming in VS. moving forward/zooming out. Not sure though, I´ve tried reversing both and they just look different, maybe the sky, maybe the starting distance from the object, dunno... I´m sure someone with more...

    Every Dolly Zoom is different...

Yeah I have that same opinion, can be much faster indeed!

    Every Dolly Zoom is different...

I´ve been growing more fond of the "manual" dolly zoom, or reverse DZ, since I´ve found it to look cooler at least in some instances than the "Quickshot mode" auto DZ. I´ve edited a short clip (bellow) with the two examples at the same spot to show the difference. Check out my M2Z stuff on...

    Compass calibration?

Yeah mine keeps asking for compass cal after moving locations too. I was wondering if this was FW related, since it started recently. My old MP1 got calibrated only once when I got it new and after that compass was spot on, never an issue for 1-1/2 yrs of use. I don´t mind calibrating here and...

Argh stop me - so close to buying an M2Z

Yes, I do. But hey, it´s fine if others disagree ;-)

DJI and Mavic 2 Pro Issues

Had similar problems with the PRO I got to test along the ZOOM a couple of weeks ago. But mine would move and behave oddly during flight, usually in wind or fast speed. Or the combination of both. I missed an entire morning worth of filming kite surfers and wasn´t able to fix it, but the next...

Argh stop me - so close to buying an M2Z

I´ve spent 2 weeks testing both the Pro and Zoom. Coming from the original MP1 I was set on the PRO before the test, but ended up chosing the Zoom instead. I´m very, very satisfied, it´s a superb drone with a great camera for 90% of situations if you know what you´re doing. Aside from a couple...

Zooming exposure issue - surely its not just me?

It´s the same with any camera in fact. Basically zooming in just lowers the quantity of light captured by the lens, you can compesate that on a DSLR speed and aperture but not on the M2Z, it´s better in manual but still has some limitations and compromises. It´s OK for daytime photo/film but as...

Mavic Pro v. Spark Which is Better for Travel?

I toured CA last yr at this exact time, and took my Spark with me. In all honesty I didn´t miss my MP as I was able to capture some nice footage the entire time, wether on the road (see clip) or in cities. Even at dusk and dawn I guess it was OK for such a small drone in 1080. And very...

Mavic Pro 1 vs 2 - "Lost" features?

From that list I find Course Lock the biggest “miss” that may change. But the “won’t ever change” item I’ll surely miss most is Portrait Mode. That’s something I’ve been using more and more for photo and filming. Yeah we can crop and all that but it’s not the same, producing an image is rather...
