This is true actually. You are right. Although it takes quite a lot of computing power to edit 4K60 in Adobe Premiere CC.

Wow you aren't far from where I am at all! I would have gone out, but I had a long day with my flight so I didn't feel like it. Any suggestions on where to explore without breaking laws? I'm mainly looking for good desert and mountain footage.

Honestly, it doesn't seem worth it to have anyway. I'll probably get ripped for this, but 4K30 is just fine. In fact, you have to have 4K30 on the GoPro for Superview. Superview isn't available at 4K60. We also have a wide angle so it kind of makes sense I suppose.
