I don't think I ever had to do this, so I am not sure. Do you really need to remove the propellors, or is that a safety concern?

Weird, but I found this encouraging. I must have been in the dark because I had not heard that DJI was even going to update the Mavic 2's FW for RID compatibility, despite having done so for the older mavic Platinum. So I am encouraged and will hold off purchasing a RID module.

Thanks Ty Pilot: I wonder if it is because the poster had different discharge periods set for each battery, which could explain why it was a different state of discharge for the one in the drone. I have replied to his comment to ask ion he was aware of these settings are set for each battery...

This is likely the result of the auto self-discharge function. There is a setting that lets you specify how long to wait before it automatically starts to discharge the battery (slowly). This is better for the life of the battery. I was trying to see if there is a way to temporarily stop it...

Starz: Do you know that if they have not already started to discharge in the morning whether a quick install on the charger will reset the self-discharge timer?

Thanks Ty Pilot. I am aware of the reason for self-discharging, but I figure that if I leave it fully charged for more than 10-days (a couple of times a year when traveling), it likely would be OK.
