Speculating the price of the CrystalSky monitor

It states clearly on their website that it is compatible with the Mavic. CrystalSky

DO NOT REGISTER YOUR DRONE HERE - IT IS NOT THE FAA SITE

The standard FAA registration is 3 years as well, so if that one is 3 years then it is a $20 fee

    Houston TX Mavic Pilots

Well at least we have until 4PM though right? I think I'll just leave the Mavic in the bag for today though...

I'd have to read the TFR again, but I believe it was only in the vicinity of the stadium - not the greater Houston metro.

    Houston TX Mavic Pilots

Glad you guys got to meet up. I was going to try to fly today, but my wife wasn't feelings well which left me in charge of the little fella. I spent the afternoon getting contact information for the 24 heliports in my area I need to notify for flying. There just has to be an easier way to stay...

    Heliport electronic notifications

In doing my research with who all I need to notify pre-flight in my current location, I see that I have 24 heliports within 5 miles of where I will normally fly. I'm in Houston, and the Houston Airport System (HAS) has fully adopted the Airmap Digital Notification and Awareness System (D-NAS)...

    Houston TX Mavic Pilots

There was an issue with the FAA TFR site that day. I called the number listed, and was assured there was no TFR for Houston, but instead an IT related issue. On another note, I've had my Mavic since Tuesday night, and I've managed a few small flights so far. Hopefully tomorrow morning I can...

Casey Neistat has the drones you're looking for.

He showed his wall of DSLR boxes in a video he did yesterday. It looked to be around 20 DSLRs he went through in 2 years I think he said. He's, uh, "rough" on his equipment for sure.

Wow! Ordered my Mavic Pro yesterday and it shipped out already!?!?!?

I ordered mine on 1/11/17, and it arrived yesterday (if I say finally I'll get dirty looks from people right?). Ordered directly from DJI, and it was the Fly More combo.

    Find My Mavic

Your Samsung device connects to WiFi to transmit data back and forth for Google maps to work. The Mavic doesn't connect to a WiFi access point to be able to do the same.

    Find My Mavic

The GPS in the Mavic has no way to transmit that data back to DJI. That is why things like Trackimo have a cellular connection. There is a misconception that having GPS in a device means that you should be able to find it wherever it goes. Having a GPS in a device simply means the device knows...

Bit the bullet and bought the best case. go professional case

Buying a giant case for the Mavic seems to somewhat defeat the beauty of the tiny size of the drone. I'm all for protecting mine (once it gets here), but I'm going to look for something small to take advantage of the portability factor.
