Ok my dumb question for the month here. What's the little black sliding thing used for in the left Phone holder of the Mavic RC? I'm assuming it's a guide for the Lightning connector but mine is too wide and won't go in it. Thoughts?

Started Hand catching the Mavic today. Not concerned too much about the actual catching as much as I am about the motors revving and it trying to pull away before shutdown. Has anyone heard or read anything advising not to do this due to increased stress on the motors, airframe or props? I know...
