I have both the silicon ones as well as some 3D Printed ones...I like the 3D Printed ones WAY more. Fits in the fly more case very easily: Mavic Mini Wing Holder Clips by Hoolyhoo
As a software developer, depending on how DJI adds support for the mini will determine how quickly (or not) apps can in turn add support. If it requires new function calls to support the same functions, then that's a considerable amount of work. If they simply add support to existing...
I've had my MM for about a month, only a few hours total in flying. I've had but 1 problem where the RC disconnected from the app, but the MM was still responsive, I flew it back, restarted everything and flew for another 20 min without a problem.
This sounds like something that happened to me and my Mini. I was flying in a new location, but not something I was concerned about the surroundings. 100' away or so the visuals go dark and I get a message saying that it had lost connection. At first I thought it lost connection with the...
That's a different problem...or different problems. First, the RC lost connection to the drone. That's likely due to distance. You were 1.7km or so (equivalent to 1 mile) and I'm assuming you're on the CE version, so you're about 800m shy of the theoretical max transmission.
Then you had an...
I've done that when flying around my house because I often connect to the wifi of my house, but outside my work the wifi isn't strong enough to reach so I didn't think to turn it off (I only turned off cellular). Maybe wifi being enabled did it. Though I've flown at parks with wifi on...
That's a little different. That was an app crash. For me, the Fly app didn't crash (app closed without you closing it), the app was still responsive, it just said the controller wasn't connected to the phone.
At least I'm not the only one (which makes it less likely there's a hardware issue), so that's comforting I suppose.
What do you do when you lose connection to the application? Do you bring your MM down? Do you reboot the app mid-flight (I tried and that didn't seem to help in my case at least)?
I was at my office checking on the building and it was a nice quiet morning so I pulled out the mini for a flight. Pre-flight checks were all good. Booted up the mini and the controller, everything looked good.
I started flying, everything was fine. Went up and over the building, came back...
That’s pretty cool.
Yah I totally could have done a few more passes to get a bigger field of view. I wasn’t sure how my iPad app would handle the stitching and wanted to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised.
Maybe if I have time later this week I’ll try that.
With the Mini not having the built-in panorama ability I decided to see what I could do given the limitations just using an iPad. Came out ok I think:

Thanks @mogulsmoke appreciate it. I work in Moorpark (well when Covid-19 hasn't closed the office that is) so I expect I'll have time to fly out there again at some point.
