I knew nothing about drones and stated with a DJI Mini SE. They are currently about $300 at Amazon. It turns out I love this little drone - easy to fly and it has a capable camera. I do landscape photography and thought a drone might let me offer a different "perspective" among my photographs...
Follow-up. Yup, if it's too good to be true it probably isn't true.
I followed up with Amazon (again) today. They give up on the non-delivery and are issuing a full refund to our method of payment. So I did lost out on the "sale" price or 32% off and, of course, am a bit disappointed. Amazon...
Brief update on my order. Too good to be true? Maybe. Probably
It was stated as delivered Friday last week. But it was not delivered! So now Amazon has our $405 and a promise to have their vendor email us in two-three business days - about a refund. I do not want a refund I want the "deal" they...
Yup, I've got my fingers crossed. If it arrives (if?) and it is not as shown it can go right back to Amazon. They are good that way. As far as warranty - I'll register it in my DJI account and purchase the CARE coverage. What else is cool is that my wife will get another $20 back in her Prime...
Ordered from Amazon last night - anticipated delivery ins Wednesday. Can't wait - but crossing my fingers because the price seemed too good to be true. Often "too good to be true" is not true.
I was going to order just the Mini 2 because the SE battery plus the new one would give me double the...
I really want the more capable camera but I'm going to hold off a bit. The Air 2 prices are already coming down. The Mini 3 isn't shipping 'til August 1st - so I've got time to wait and decide.
Meanwhile (this week) I'm studying for my Part 107.
Just saw this - so, welcome (even though you joined before I did).
I like your comment abut the change in technology. A "good while back" I flew two small RC helicopters - but was never really good. My Mini SE is sooooo easy - compared to controlling those old helis. Something not seeming to go...
Hey there, Will, welcome from a "former Baltimorean" who now lives at the beach in Delaware.
I will eventually get the Mavic 3 (or its next incarnation) to be used as a serious landscape/seascape still-photo platform. But figured I would start with the Mini SE to work the kinks out, learn...
