My new reply to an older post.
I've got a MA2 . Fantastic drone but it didn't save waypoint flights and I really wanted to be able to fly the exact same flight over my fields over time (a "repeatable mission"). I chose DroneLink.
I like it - but there's a bit of a learning curve. I...
I still like the cloud storage as part of the solution in case of fire or power surge or something catastrophic at the house. I have Apple stuff so I use the cloud storage deal w Apple - not because of my drone footage but for all my irreplaceable family photos and digital documents - so it...
FWIW I have had external spinning drives that lasted years with no problems. And I have also had a couple that failed catastrophically with NO WARNING. (I lost nothing because my files were also backed up to the cloud - so you should do that regardless of what hard drive you choose). As...
Welcome. Looking forward to seeing some of your photos and videos from that part of the country. I have family that attended USAFA and we spent quite a bit of time around there but I didn’t have a drone at the time. Wish I could’ve gotten some aerial views of Garden of the Gods!
Occasionally I will intentionally fly out low across my pastures in the early evening. The activity tends to kick up insects and I’ll get 15-20 barn swallows following and swooping around and feeding. Maybe I should try to get some video.
I use all Apple stuff.
I save the highest quality files to my iMac and they’re imported into my Photos app and then uploaded to iCloud. The original-quality is stored in my iCloud (2TB/$10mo) while thumbnails are shown on all my devices. I can pull the full quality down to the device I...
I also live in a highly agricultural area. The crop dusters absolutely fly very low - but they are very noisy (they don’t call them air tractors for nothing) and so it’s easy to tell when they are anywhere close to where I might fly.
But also this - they are usually only in that area for a...
Just adding another reply in case someone finds this old thread.…
Charging the iOS device from the controller is now an “always on“ feature and no
longer even appears in the control section of the iOS Version of DJI Fly.
I am happy with this change and it works well for me.
I also noticed this and contacted DJI and got the same response.
But I am actually very happy with the change.
I often use an old iPhone which doesn’t have great battery life so getting a power charge from the controller is important to me. I found it inconvenient to go into the menu...
hi. I’m new to Dronelink and have a MA2 also but I’ve enjoying my planning with Dronelink so far.
not sure if this is what you’re asking or not but if you have a plan in your repository on your PC it will also automatically be in that repository when you sign into Dronelink with your phone or...
Hi All,
Hoping to use my new MA2 to repeatedly fly the same autonomous mission over and over?
I’m not doing any data-collection or anything super complicated. At this point I just want to be able to check crop/harvest status in corn fields and I want to get the exact same view/path each time...
