Just happened to me as well, flying along then same warning and started to land. What the hell, but then full stick up, critical warning stayed on but I was able to regain control and fly home.

I bought a used mini 2 flew 3 batteries and at 67%

I just purchased a used iPad 2 mini, so far no lagging issues, I've only gone a mile out though.

If I'm out on the mountain and get a required firmware update and can't connect to internet or wifi am I just out of luck and not able to fly?

why won't the firmware update? It keeps asking me continue download, it acts like its downloading for about 2 seconds then stops and then says continue download over and over?

Is this the mavic mount. Or something similar?

I also just flew min for the first time. What a blast and the nervous feeling you get when you take off only relying on the screen and hoping it comes back.

I believe the return to home function on the controller will climb or descend to a specific altitude you set then return to home, if you use the app and swipe it will return to home at the altitude you are currently at when you swipe the screen.

If I were to buy a used wifi + cellular then I would have gps and be able to have follow me mode and all other functions, is this correct

if I buy the iPad mini 2 non cellular, what does that mean to me, my main interest is to only view my flights and occasional video but want full function of the mavic. RTH ect. Thanks
