Simple answer is YES! And those pilots are what drive the restrictive rules. Remote ID may change, ease or expand this restriction, but don’t count it for 3 - 5 years.

I totally agree! The FAA Regs say .55 lbs/250 gm at take off. If you add the stickers or prop guards or anything, you’ll be over 250 gm. I suspect most users will ignore that anyway.

All the under 250 gram rule does is save you the $5 fee. Anyone flying in our National airspace, regardless on form or function, as a minimum, has to follow at least the 8 recreational rules.
