Make a special cable yourself from 2 normal cables, one would carry just power, the other just data. To do this, splice 2 existing cables, connect the ground (usually black) from all 3 sides together, feed the Vbus from just one connector into the stick (usually red) and the data from another...

Dropping to a low number of satellites in a specific place is probably just some buildings or other big things "shading" the other satellites.

Something to realize about those sticks and Android + RC connection in general is that the connection between the RC and the phone/tablet/stick is in whats called "AOA' mode (stands for Android open Accessory"). It is seldom used (the only 2 things i am familiar with, that use it, are DJI RCs...

Charge me an extra $200, but give me the same features MP got, including occusync, 4k video (hopefully with adjustable codec and bitrate), raws, all the shooting modes (burst, aeb...) etc, but keep the small form factor... i'd totally buy.

Nope, the buffer part doesn't make much sense. Cause hey, it got the buffer for at least one frame + jpeg processing on it. Skip that processing and SAVE that buffer. Nothing to do with transmission either, raws aren't sent over the RF link. Like, there is literally nothing that should stop them...

The only reason to omit raw, that "may' make some limited sense would probably be marketing, to differentiate between the products or something. But from the other sides, they have probably lost quite a lot of buyers because of this. Again, i do agree there isn't MUCH to be gained from raw in...
