Jip, figured that out. Since May 2017 I have flown about 350 kilometres with the Mavic on the farm. It has its uses for monitoring wildlife, but I have found my 10 Trail Cameras on the farm provide much better & more detailed data. Check out our Facebook page - The Hunting Warehouse if you need...
Just to add my experience:
I tested my mavic 4.0.7 ( android) this morning with flight mode still enabled.
Worked fine with no firmware update requirements.
Seems as long as flight mode is on & the phone doesn't connect to the internet you are good to "Go"
Good evening guys,
Please excuse my lazy & bottom line mentality approach if the answer has been given somewhere in the 29 pages that I did not read ( stopped at 3) prior. I have 4.0.7 on my Mavic - haven't updated & I have a dedicated phone for the mavic that is permanently on flight mode. I'm...
Just a question:
If I'm flying over a dense forest / woodland area and I descend down to the tree tops, will the mavic mistake the tree tops for ground surface and auto land...in this case "auto crash" ?
A friend of mine apparently just had this issue resulting in a crashed mavic. I know you...
Well..no I can't see any since I don't have the new version installed. Yes the farm is in the middle of nowhere but I live in a city (Pretoria) where they might start restricting to 50m line of sight...
@svavar, I've been really tempted ti buy the Litchi App but the big WHAT IF something goes wrong & DJI simply uses the 3rd party app excuse to not honour my DJI Care policy. By the way in Litchi:
A) Can you pause the drone mid mission to look around & resume;
B) Can you look( yaw too) around mid...
Hi Guys, so just thought I'd report back. So on the big morning ( barely having slept the 3 nights before due to excitement), the mavic's transmitter didn't want to connect to the phone. Spent all day trying everything I could and eventually at around 8pm I resorted to a firmware downgrade...
Thanks Clinton & Msinger.
Clinton, we are talking about the same place in the App - just different ways to get there ;)
I moved all my .txt flight logs from my phone to my PC folder - that might be the reason I suspect.
Thanks @msinger ! Airdata & Healthy Drones is the same site I think.
Does Dji offer nothing of the sorts ? I mean when you send your drone in after a crash, they must be able to view what happened right - so the data must be stored somewhere ?
So I'm trying to see how far (distance) I've flown so far ( under 10 flights total), battery data etc for all my flights in one spot. I'd also like to see the flight paths of all my flights without having to upload to Phantom Help / Healthy drones if that's possible . I mean the mavic must have...
