Just to add my experience: I tested my mavic 4.0.7 ( android) this morning with flight mode still enabled. Worked fine with no firmware update requirements. Seems as long as flight mode is on & the phone doesn't connect to the internet you are good to "Go"

Thanks @msinger ! Airdata & Healthy Drones is the same site I think. Does Dji offer nothing of the sorts ? I mean when you send your drone in after a crash, they must be able to view what happened right - so the data must be stored somewhere ?
