Strange tilting and oscillating behavior midflight

After upgrading the firmware and calibrating the IMU, I've done some additional test flights and did not see any recurrence of the problem. I'll update this thread if it happens again.

Strange tilting and oscillating behavior midflight

Yes. This is a replacement unit via DJI Care Refresh which I received on August 17th. I currently have 29 flights on it.

Strange tilting and oscillating behavior midflight

I was shooting 1080, 24fps. Also, there was some tilting happening earlier in the flight, just not as extreme as seen at 7:28 and 7:35. Thanks for your input! I'll try some shorter flights tomorrow.

Strange tilting and oscillating behavior midflight

Most of this flight was normal: but at 7:28 and 7:35 in the video you will see extreme tilting of the horizon along the roll axis accompanied by a strange oscillation. I located both tilting incidents in the log, at 545 seconds and 553 seconds. Although the log shows a brief rc_aileron input...

MPP total power loss and crash from 88m (289 ft)

Just wanted to update this thread with the resolution from DJI. The unit was not replaced under warranty. The reason cited was that I was using third party software (Litchi). I was not previously aware that the warranty would not be honored when flying with Litchi, so I guess it's good to...

Flew 830 ft over water and lost signal! Help me figure it out please

If I understand correctly, and with KFLL being a Class C airport, the core surface area extends for a radius of 5 nm to 4000ft AGL, and the pier is certainly within that. It surprises me that the DJI firmware allows takeoff, but this would definitely require at least communication with the...

MPP total power loss and crash from 88m (289 ft)

I am able to power up the aircraft, and there are some DAT files, however none of the dates make sense for the 6-22 flight in question. The top three are just my 3 attempts to download a meaningful dat file. The others are either from mid-May or have a bogus time stamp. Given the .11 MB per...

MPP total power loss and crash from 88m (289 ft)

The battery was not in the aircraft on the ground, however it was very close, so it could have been ejected due to the impact with the ground. I'm very careful to press the battery firmly into position and to make sure that it clicks into place and is held firmly. I also wondered if it could...

MPP total power loss and crash from 88m (289 ft)

Great! I will try that tomorrow morning. Thanks much for your help!

MPP total power loss and crash from 88m (289 ft)

I did not try to power it up due to the precarious-looking gimbal connection. If it is safe to do so though, I will try that. All four of my batteries are fully charged right now, so it would be nice to take advantage of the aircraft just to run the batteries down to 45% for storage until I...

MPP total power loss and crash from 88m (289 ft)

Yesterday, 53 seconds into my second Litchi waypoint mission of the day, my MPP suddenly completely lost power and fell 88 meters into a cow pasture. I was able to recover it, and it suffered a dislocated gimbal and a cracked battery case (the battery LEDs still work and show 4 lights, still...
