There's plenty of areas to fly in Sutton Park, you don't need to use the model airfield. I've only seen one person use that area for flying planes, there used to be a good gathering there.
I fly around Longmoor Pool mostly which is near Banners Gate because you can fly low over the marsh field...
You've mentioned places I haven't been to in years but still have fond memories of. Soon as I get a second battery I'll be heading over that way and on to Snowdonia. Seems a shame to go all that way and only get 15-18 minutes footage.
These are probably the best for price as it's free shipping in the UK, although they are pre-order. Clifton Cameras Nikon, Canon, Pentax, Fuji, Leica, Sony Digital Cameras, SLR, Lenses
Not far from the Beggar's Bush, so Sutton Park is only a short distance away. I've read Lickey Hills is okay for drone flying but I'm concerned about the drone police that think they know where you can't fly, i.e. the general public.
Welcome. Just joined and new pilot based in Birmingham flying a Mavic AIR. Hoping for a good day where I can get some practice in at Sutton Park and see if I can get my house in the footage.
Hi Rizzle. I have the Mavic AIR in onyx black and love it. Only tried it in beginner mode as I'm new to the hobby, but really looking forward to unleashing it's potential. Seem pretty fool proof with all it's features and safety items.
Having taken the plunge and gone for the Mavic AIR, I just need a day that isn't windy to get some practice in. I'm in North Birmingham but looking to have days out and capturing footage of some of the wonderful scenery that we'll have in a few weeks.
