After having been involved in aviation both military and civilian for over 37 years, I see it on the manned side as well. Easier to ask than research. Like most, I try to help when I can and smile while doing it.

Another vote for humanity here! Very kind of you to make the efforts. Hopefully, the owner will get it back and take the cheap and necessary steps to make sure it is easy to recover.

This forum is a wealth of information for both what to do and of course what not to do. Limit your distance for a while and get the feel for the drone and the various functions. Keep reading the forum, especially for the what not to do and hard lessons. Enjoy your flying most of all!
